FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How much does a Survey/Inspection cost?

Depends where you are!

Local Surveys ie Beds, Bucks, Cambs, Herts and Northants £175.00 inc VAT for a Twin Unit, £125.00 inc VAT for a Single Unit.

Anywhere outside these areas is £225.00 inc VAT for a Twin Unit and £175.00 for a Single Unit within the area we cover: Midlands, East Anglia, Home Counties.

We don't cover Scotland, Wales or the West Country for Surveys. If significant work is needed and we agree on a figure, we will credit your Survey Fee against your final total.

Q.      How much does a complete Refurbishment cost?

Most enquiries ask us for a ball-park figure. There are too many variables on a Park Home to give an exact price without having surveyed the home.

Prices will vary due to the distance we have to travel, different dimensions of Park Homes and different problems (eg woodworm, poor waste plumbing, cracked or split concrete base, ripped and damaged original insulation and moisture barrier. Homes with an added Porch or extension of some sort will cost more.

If it's filthy below the Home and lots of rubbish, that will also affect the cost. Lack of access (eg one hatch at one end of a 40 foot Home is going to cost more than a Home with access at every side.

OK, what we call a  FULL Refurbishment is the following:

Clean base and dispose of all rubbish/debris.

Remove old chassis supports (jacks) and replace with new StrongArm supports (8 for a Single, 16 for a Twin) placed on blocks/slabs.

Remove old axle supports and replace with blocks/slabs/hardwood shims.

Level Home N-S and E-W. Tighten all chassis-floor bearer coach bolts.

Remove all loose rust, blow through with compressed air and spray all metalwork with Hammerite.

Custom fit 40mm Recticel PIR board to floor bearers (joists) and seal all gaps with foil tape.

Lag all hot/cold feed pipes to Water Authority standard (19mm wall.)

For a Single Unit average length 36 x 10 around £3600 inc VAT.

For a Twin Unit average length 36 x 20 around £5000 inc VAT

Remember these are BALL PARK FIGURES!

Q.      How much does a Chassis respray and resupport cost? (Part Refurbishment)

Many Park Home Surveyors recommend 'Remove loose rust from chassis and spray with rust-inhibiting paint and replace Jacks..'

Again, if it's filthy under there or access is poor there will be an extra charge
